Presented by: Danene Sorace, MPP, Consultant to the Future of Sex Education Initiative & Kelly Wilson, PhD, Contributing Author
The National Teacher Preparation Standards for Sexuality Education were published in the June 2014 issue of the Journal of School Health. The goal of this webinar is three-fold: 1) raise awareness regarding the need for standards; 2) present the standards, highlighting the unique aspects of teacher preparation related to sexuality education instruction; and 3) share tools developed to support their implementation. Administrators, faculty and instructors in institutions of higher education who are responsible for professional teacher-preparation programs in health education and health/physical education will benefit from this webinar.
