School Nurses and Our Supervisors: Do We Speak the Same Language?

The goal of this presentation is to enable school nurses to identify areas of misunderstandings and miscommunications between the nurse and the supervisor regarding school nursing practice. Armed with this information the nurse is better able to provide the most effective care to the individual students, the school as a whole, and the larger community.
- Identify how areas of misunderstanding between School Nurse and the Supervisor can affect nursing practice in the school setting
- Articulate the common areas for misunderstandings between School Nurses and their supervisors.
- Discuss how to improve School Health from the perspective of the School Nursing practice by clarifying areas of misunderstanding between the School Nurse and the supervisor
