Learn about the basics of food allergy, including what it is (and is not), what an allergic reaction looks like, and how people living with the disease—and those around them, including school staff—must manage daily life to avoid a life-threatening reaction.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this educational activity the learner will be prepared to:

  1. Understand the prevalence of food allergy and distinguish what a food allergy is and is not
  2. React to a food allergy reaction
  3. Avoid accidental allergen exposures in the school setting
  4. Keep students safe and included in the school setting
