This Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG) sponsored webinar will be led by an early-career and middle-career Gamman providing health education undergraduate students, graduate students and emerging professionals with information and skills to write and submit a manuscript for publication in the health education field. This webinar will focus on how emerging professionals can utilize research-based writing techniques and strategies, such as setting a writing schedule, mind-mapping, and key sentence checks, to increase their writing quality and productivity. Additionally, strategies for writing in a collaborative team will be explored. Further, a description of the steps for submitting a manuscript for publication, including how to select an appropriate journal, formatting the manuscript to the journal’s requirements, writing a cover letter, and creating a title page, will be presented. Finally, the webinar will provide participants with various methods for addressing reviewers’ comments in an organized and clear manner for resubmission.
