
Thank you to all the school nurses and exhibitors who contributed to the success of the 2010 ASHA regional school nurses conferences. We appreciate your interest and support.
The American School Health Association (ASHA) convened three regional conferences in Ohio. The conferences provided current information and continuing nursing education contact hours relevant to school health services to school nurses throughout Ohio.
The Pre-Conference Workshop registration fee included a light dinner, materials, and continuing nursing education
(3.0 CNE contact hours). The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) provided the speakers for this year's Pre-Conference Workshop. In 2010, the topics included: H1N1 Lessons Learned; Foodborne Illness Outbreak; and Local Responses.
The Conference registration fee included continental breakfast, lunch, materials, and continuing nursing education
(5.5 CNE contact hours). In 2010, topics for the full-day conference included: Medicaid School Program; Ohio School Nurse Practice Pearls;
Head Lice; Training UAPs; an update from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH);
and the Culture of Poverty.
