Advocating Action Steps

ASHA uses its membership in the Coalition of National Health Education Organizations (CNHEO) to provide information on how to take action for our members and others interested in advocating for the health, mental health and safety of school aged-children and youth and the adults who work with them in schools.

The American Public Health Association (APHA) maintains subscriptions to Capwiz, a service that tracks legislation and allows people to send letters to members of Congress and the media with simple clicks of the mouse. The hosting organization sets its legislative priorities, which Capwiz tracks for them. From APHA's site, you can modify sample letters to be school-specific.
