In addition to the resources available from the American School Health Association, such as the Journal of School Health, ASHA Publications, Conferences and Resolutions, other organizations have produced key resources that will help people interested in implementing high-quality school health programs. The School Mental Health Project at UCLA has a resources and gateway site for mental health resources.

Policy Guidance
Book: Fit, Healthy, and Ready to Learn from National Association of State Boards of Education.
Web sites: National Guidelines for Health, Mental Health, and Safety in Schools. Model school wellness policies that comply with the Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act, developed by the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity, of which ASHA is a member.

School Health and Academic Achievement
Web site: A PowerPoint presentation titled Making the Connection: Health and Student Achievement describes the research linking various aspects of school health programs with measures of academic success and can be downloaded from the web site of the Society of State Directors of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
